Intro Alpine Mountaineering Chamonix


Explore mountaineering on a bigger scale. Join us for an introduction to alpine climbing based in Chamonix and covering essential mountaineering skills to climb safely. No prior alpine experience needed.
Designed to assist you to transfer your climbing and trekking skills into the alpine environment, our intro course covers essential techniques such as:

  • Crampon and ice axe skills
  • Glacier travel
  • Crevasse rescue
  • Alpine navigation
  • Rope work
  • Rock climbing

​An exciting cocktail of glacial travel, rock and ice climbing, two nights at high altitude refuges and two alpine ascents such as:

  • Pointe Lachenal 3613m
  • Weissmies 4023m
  • Pigne d'Arolla 3790m
  • Aiguille de Toule 3534m
  • Gran Paradiso 4061m
